Fallout 4 Vats Not Working

Vats not working in fallout 4 Xbox 1

I can't access vats and I can't figure out if it's a glitch or im non doing it correctly. I'm new at this game and I read that hitting RB should bring it up. Doesn't work. Do I need to get a certain perk to enable it or is my game broken? Google is non helpful.

You need to pick up a certain particular at the terminate of the starting sequence earlier y'all can employ VATS if I call up correctly. Tried to make that equally spoiler-free as possible.

You can check your controls in settings to see what button information technology's assigned to and endeavor that one. Also I've had it happen where I have to toggle get-go/third person to piece of work again. Hope this helps!

This reply got me thinkin so I fiddled with the controls and managed to change information technology so that I can admission vats. Information technology was definitely bewitched but switching the control keys around immune me to get effectually it. Thanks bud~

If yous hit it once, it should bring it up, but you lot don't get it until y'all get the Pipboy at the end of the Vault 111 Tutorial.

Otherwise, it could be a broken bumper.

Yeah I'chiliad way past that. Welp. Guess I'm doin a playthrough sans vats. Thanks for the assist. Hopefully it volition correct itself somehow since this is a brand new controller. Seem to be doin fine without it anyways lol

You'll get the ability for that in the second town you come up across - they take a long time to introduce it for some odd reason
